Exploring New Training Methods for Staff

I’ve been contemplating the effectiveness of virtual training sessions for our home health staff. Given the rising need for flexibility, I wonder if anyone has had success with specific platforms or methods that enhance learning outcomes? Any insights would be beneficial as we look to improve our ongoing education initiatives.

I’ve had success with Zoom for virtual training, especially with its breakout rooms feature, which allows small group discussions for deeper engagement. Just keep in mind that not all staff may be equally tech-savvy, so a basic tutorial can help ease that transition. Have you tried using any collaborative tools like Miro or Padlet to complement the sessions?

I think virtual training can work really well, especially with interactive elements — maybe adding quizzes or real-time polls would keep everyone engaged. @jameson_h74, have you tried incorporating any interactive tools in your sessions?

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌

I’ve found that incorporating real-life case studies into our sessions makes a big difference in engagement. It allows staff to relate better and encourages discussion. Maybe a platform like Google Meet could work since it’s intuitive for group activities. Have you considered how to incorporate this kind of approach?

It’s impressive how much money can be saved by switching to generics, especially for long-term medications — i had a patient who switched to a generic statin and was thrilled to see her monthly costs drop significantly. Just a heads-up, though, some generics might have different inactive ingredients that could cause issues for sensitive patients, so it’s worth checking in with them beforehand.

, figuring out the best platform for these sessions drives me nuts; i’ve recently tried using Zoom with breakout rooms, and it really boosts engagement with group discussions… Have you thought about incorporating some asynchronous training options too?

And have you tried interactive polling during your virtual sessions? A little real-time feedback can really enhance engagement! @jameson_h74.
